The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum is situated in Austin. It is one among the ten presidential libraries which was managed by the National Archives. The library consists of forty million pages of documents which is of historical. The LBJ museum permits the public to see the lasting historical and cultural demonstration. Some other, out of the ordinary, activities and exhibits were given by the associates of the LBJ Library and by the close relative organizations that is the establishment of the LBJ. There are no admission fees for the museum.The original office was duplicated by the oval office at 7/8th scale.
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum is in the business city, Austin. It says about the story of Texas and contains three floors of related exhibits, The Star of Destiny, the special sound effects show, Austin’s only IMAX Theatre, the large-format film, Texas Spirit Theater and Texas: The Big Picture. At the entrance of the Museum a 35 foot high bronze Lone Star statue hail the visitors. The lively terrazzo floor of the Museum gives a campfire scene. The Museum has an indoor and outdoor seating along with a Café. The Museum holds many things for the Texans.
Bishop’s palace possesses high spirit for the lost Victorian architecture. Architect Nicholas J. Clayton of Galveston took a courageous step to modulate the front elevation of many churches and various business buildings of that period. The house was constructed for Walter Gresham, a famous lawyer, Representative to the 53rd Congress and Texas legislator. In 1841 Gresham was born in the country of King and Queen that is Virginia, in the family of famous lawyer and cultivator. In the civil war he worked as a confidential in the Army of Northern Virginia. He completed his graduation in the University of Virginia
The center was established by Lady Bird Johnson in the year 1982 in a 178 acres of land with wild flowers for their laboratory use. The aim of the center is to study and preserve the plants. The interesting thing is the display garden with wild flowers which attract butterflies. Apart from the garden the visitor center with stone architecture and the observation tower are also attractive. Indoor display consists of Lady Bird’s gardening hats which are widely brimmed and the lawn mower talking in British accent. Special free lectures and guided walks are included on week ends and can be checked on the web. It has a huge library which has many books to study about plants.
The visitors of the Central Texas must not go without admiring the Texas State Capitol Complex. Legend, teachings, and history made the visit to the Complex encouraging, educational and breathtaking. The area of the Capitol Complex consists of 22 acres and it is situated between Lavaca and San Jacinto of the Austin in the 11th Street. The complex consists of the unique Texas General Land Office, which was constructed in the year 1857. This building was used as the Land Office for at least 60 years. This day, it is the oldest existing state office and the resident of the Texas Capitol Visitors and the Gift Shop of the Texas Capitol. More over the Capitol by itself forms the main attraction. The Texas capitol was selected as the National Historic Landmark in the year 1986, even though the Capitol was completed in the year1888.
The Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin invites the bats coming from Mexico. Usually during the period of March and April large number of bats, mainly pregnant female free tailed bats travels towards north to have their deliveries. They usually stay there through out the spring and summer. The Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge in the business district, Austin forms the residence of about 750,000 to 1.5 million bats during the bat watching period that is during the spring and the summer. Bats have made Austin as their dwelling place for a long period of time after the reconstruction of the Congress Bridge over the Lady Bird Lake. It feels, Congress Avenue Bridge as comfortable because of the steep and deep opening made in the bridge.
The Paramount Theatre is located in the heart of the city Austin, in the Congress Avenue, for about 100 years. Once, Sam Houston’s office, the War Department of the Republic of Texas and later the Avenue Hotel was functioning in the present site of the Paramount Theatre. The Paramount Theatre is the oldest and existing theatre of the Austin. It was built in the year 1915 and had entertained the audience for a long time. At the beginning it brought a variety of shows and programs to the stage. Every year the Paramount Theatre presents drama, music, comedy, spoken word, films and children’s programs to almost 200,000 audiences of the Central Texans.
Austin and the places around are famous for swimming through out the year since the paces are warm all year round. The swimmers, toe tippers, sunbathers and bathers are attracted to the natural spots and the semi natural spots which are found abundantly over here. Numerous swimming pools and other areas with abundant wanted suitable for swimming are available but since there is no lifeguard one has to take care. Those who know swimming can go for the purpose of fitness in the Stacy Pool lanes and Barton Springs pool.
George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is situated in the A & M University in Texas is a research institution like many museums. It has a collection of about 60,000 historic objects like personally used things, gifts given by the people, State gifts etc; The museum is so big that it has seventeen thousand sq ft of exhibits which are permanent and three thousand sq ft consisting of changing exhibits. Permanent exhibits consists of George Bush’s life history, service career, and the events happened during his period and changing exhibits show about the current events in the Bush Administration, history and the presidents of America.

Jeff Mc Kissack, who works as a post carrier in Houston, Texas, was a lover of orange and to honor his much loved fruit, he dedicated a small built-up, near his wooden house, to form, “The Orange Show”, and this took place between 1958 and 1980. Mc Kissak used some second hand scraps and building materials like tiles, fencing, bricks and farm implements to convert his home into an architectural network of walkways, arenas, balconies and the exhibits are adorned with mosaics and brilliantly painted iron figures. After the death of Mc Kissack, Houston arts supporter Marilyn Oshman organized a non-profit foundation to safeguard the wonderful, “The Orange Show”, which was donated 21 miscellaneous section of Houston, and they include Dominique, East End funerary director Tommy Schlitzberger, and members of the legendary Texas rock band ZZ Top.
The Art Car Museum owned by a private institution has a collection of modern arts with importance given to artists, fine arts and art cars. The museum known as Garage Mahal by many people consists of most elaborate, imaginative and artfully constructed low riders, art cars and mobile contractions and art gallery consisting of the work of national, regional and local artists. The 1984 Collision Show consisted of car workshops and Art car parade around the city at Lawndale Art Center. The museums staff moves freely with kids. They have fun interactive exhibits
like kid TV and Bubble Lab. The kids get an opportunity to imitate things
they see in the tube and it explains how television shows are taken behind
the scenes. The other interesting exhibit is the Village of Yalalag which
is Mexican Indian and Tot spot. 6 months to 3 years old kids have play
area helping them to develop their motor skills through play. The ideal
time to stopover is in the afternoon.
